Detroit Law Student

MISS ELIZABETH GEFFEN

Mr. and Mrs. James H. Geffen,
of Scarsdale, N. Y., have an-
nounced the engagement of
their daughter, Elizabeth Ruth,
to Barry M. Grant, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Daniel Grant, of
Birmingham, Mich.
The bride-to-be is a student
at Mills College of Education
in New York. Mr. Grant is an
ahimnus of Michigan State
University, where he was affili-
ated with Delta Chi fraternity.
He is presently a senior in the
Wayne State University law
school, and is a member of Tau
Epsilon Rho fraternity.

the bridegroom-to-be was given
erroneously. He was affiliated

their daughter, Linda Diane, to
Eugene Parker, son of Mr. and

Michigan. Mr. Parker is associ-

Company. The young couple is
planning an August wedding.

Among the guests at the debut of Miss Charlotte Ford,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ford II, at the Country Club
of Detroit were Messrs. and Mesdames Max Fisher, Aaron Ger-
shenson, Max Handler, Isadore. Levin, Edward E. Rothman,
Jules R. Shubot, and Harry L. Winston.
The Nate Gersuks and newlywed Louis Viedrahs (Frances
Mintz), of Detroit, are currently visiting in Los Angeles, Calif.,
where they went to herald the arrival of the Gersuks' grandson,
born to their children, Dr. and Mrs. Jack Gersuk.
Prof. and Mrs. -Erwin Reifler, of Seattle, Wash., will be in
Detroit this weekend as the guests of Mrs. Joseph Hirschman, of
16233 Kentucky. They will be entertained Saturday night at, a.
dinner party given by Mr. and Mrs. Sigmund Reifler, of 18015
Ardmore. Prof. Reifler is associated with - the University of.
Washington's department of Far Eastern and Slavic languages
and literatures.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Lorber, of 24020 Meadowpark, Oak Park,
last Sunday honored their son, Albert Michael, with a brunch at
Springel's Patio Room, on the occasion of his Bar Mitzvah the
previous day at Cong. Bnai David.
Mr. and Mrs. Al Kemper, of Scotia Ave., Oak Park, have
returned from a visit to the West Coast, where they visited Los
Angeles, Palm Springs, Las Vegas and San Francisco, and spent
time with Mr. and Mrs. Sam Goldberg (Rhoda Phillips), former
Detroiters now of Modesto, Calif.
