man and has a daughter, Margo,
who attends Brandeis Univer-

Throughout the year, she ad-
vises . some 50,000 people on
personal problems, from bank
presidents to wayward ' girls.
She is a college graduate who
majored in journalism and psy-
chology.

Jewish.interest will be featured
on "Frontiers of Faith," to be
seen in Detroit beginning at
9:30 a.m., Nov. 15, over WWJ-
TV (Channel 4).
A documentary pr o g r a in,
"Land of the Book," written by
Irve Tunick, is the first of the
series. Ralph Bellamy, noted
stage and screen star, will nar-
rate the telecast on modern
Israel.
The filming for the program
and its sequel, "People of the
Book," to be seen the following
Sunday, was done in Israel by a
special team of staff people
from the National Broadcasting
Company and the Jewish Theo-
logical Seminary, co-producers
of "The Eternal Light."
Shown in the first program
will be King Solomon's Mines,
the Plains of ArmageddOn, the
Jordan River, Mt. Tabor, Mt.
Zion, the Sea of Galilee, Jerusa-
lem, Carmel and Caesarea.

Center Plans Exhibit of 30 Amitai Paintings

An exhibition of 30 oil paint-
ings and water colors by Isaac
Amitai will be displayed in the
Jewish Community Center's
main building lobby, Nov. 16
to 30.
Born in Jerusalem, Amitai
studied painting at Bezalel Art
School with Prof. Boris Schatz.
He also studied art in Paris
for four years at the Ecole
Superieur de la Ville de Paris.
Amitai's paintii.gs are in nu-

merous private collections in
Israel, Europe and the United
States, and in Museums in
Leeds, England, Tel Aviv and
Haifa. He has held one-man
shows in Israel and London.
A member of the artists'
colony in Safed, Israel since
1951, Amitai is presently par-
ticipating in eight group shoWs
in Australia and New Zealand
arranged by the Israeli govern-
ment.

An unusual exhibit of Israeli
art, direct from_ Haifa, is being
presented at Grilinell Galleries,
1515 Woodward, through Nov.
18.
In charge of the .special re-
ception held Wednesday were
Mesdames Gerald Crandall, Sid-
ney. Winer and Milford -Preget-
son. :-
The exhibit was brought to
the United States by Herbert
Goldman of the Goldman Art
Gallery, Haifa.
