State Bar Group
Honors Burdick

Benjamin D. Burdick was
highly commended for his serv-
ices to the State Bar of Mich-
igan, on the occasion of the
testimonial given him last week
by a group of his friends, in
honor of his election as a mem-
ber of the Board of Governors
of Wayne State University.
Ernest C. Wunsch, chairman
of the State Bar grievance com-
mittee for the third judicial dis-
trict, in a message that also was
co-signed by all members of the
committee, stated:
"Many acts of a man are
known publicly, and a well-done
deed receives immediate ap-
plause. Many of the good deeds
of a man of your stature are
performed without proclaim or
any thought of applause.
"So it is with your services
to the State Bar of Michigan
and, particularly, in your ca-
pacity as Chairman of Griev-
ance Corrimittee No. 7 of the
Third Judicial Circuit, in which
position you have served for
about 17 years.
"As such, you have -served
the public in all vigor, while at
the same time, exhibiting un-
limited compassion for those in
trouble. You have demonstrated
the utmost brotherhood in your
attitude toward your felloW
man.
"Probably our feelings toward
you are best summarized in
telling you that, in being asso-
ciated with you in State Bar ac-
tivities, you have made us
proud to be members of the
group of which you are chair-
man. Ben, our heartfelt • thanks
for your guidance!"

Now celebrating our 75th Anniversary!
