Elect Joe Wedner
to Head Habonim

With the addition of Mu Chi
Chapter of Sigma Alpha Mu,
Michigan State University now
has 30 fraternities of national
standing.
Recently granted a national
charter, the Sigma Alpha Mu
colony of two year's standing
has 31 members.
National officials of Sigma
Alpha Mu presented the charter
at a ceremony which included
the local alumni, fraternity
deans and active members from
U of M, Wayne and Ohio State
Universities.

4-Day Antique Show
to Open at Masonic

Anyone looking for an apothe-
cary scale or a_ pair of high but-
ton shoes will find both at the
Great Lakes Antique Show, run-
ning at Detroit's Masonic Tem-
ple, Oct. 16 to 19.
Many long-forgotten items—a
Russian samovar, a copper pud-
ding mold, a 200-year-old pew-
ter stein, a camel bell — will
interest visitors to the four-day
show. ..Ail items are for sale.
Several c011ectiOns of an-
tiques were recently purchased
:in Europe, especially for the
show, incitidifig from Russia, an
antique liqueur set of colbalt
blue glass d . e c orate d with
jewels; a pair of Swedish wed-
ding ceremonial glasses from
the 1860's and an extensive col-
lection of English lace bobbins.
Fifty-five dealers will exhibit
at the half million dollar show.
Hours are 12 noon to 10:30 p.m.

William Hordes Wins
Leading Agent Honor

William Hordes, v e ter an

been honored as the leading
agent of the month for his
$100,000 production in Septem-
ber.
Fred Adams, superintendent
of agencies, in making the an-
nouncement, added that Hordes
is also an eight-year qualifier
for the National Quality Award
which signifies ,the high stand-
ard of his business.
Only one first or second
year policy placed by Hordes
has lapsed this year—an out-
standing persistency record,
Adams added.

to Hear Violist Efraim

Junior Music Study Club will
open its season at 2 p.m., Sun-
day, in the home of Ellen Klein,

ship.
Rudy Efraim, violist, will be
the day's guest artist, and elec-
