KRASNICK-ALTMAN. Speak-
ing their vows before Rabbi
Morris Adler at Cong. Shaarey
Zedek, Marjorie Ruth Altman
and William Zelig Krasnick
were united in marriage in a
ceremony on Sept. 27. The
bride is the daughter of Dr.
and Mrs. Albert Jay Altman,
of Canterbury Dr. His parents
are the John Krasnicks,. of
Warrington Dr.
The new Mrs. Krasnick chose
a gown of peau de soie and
hand-corded Al e n c on lace,
studded with pearls. The snug-
fitting bodice was fashioned
with bracelet-length sleeves and
a modified scoop neckline, out-
lined by points of the lace.
Horizontal pleats formed a
cummerbund, attaching the
bodice to the very bouffant
skirt, which dropped over a
full petticoat into a circular
train. A full circular veil of
Elizabeth illusion was caught
to her head by a crown of
orange blossoms, and she
carried a cascading bouquet of
phaelanopsis and variegated
ivy.
Joan Altman, sister of the
bride, and Mrs. Norman Rosen-
feld, the bridegroom's sister,
served as honor attendants, and
bridesmaids were Mar y a n n
Becker, Bluma Bremen, Mrs.
David Hermelin, Mrs. Norman
Lipitt and Mrs. Harvey Rosen-
berg. Norman Rosenfeld was
his brother-in-law's best man,
and Burton Altman, the bride's
brother, was head usher. Other
ushers were Harold Barron,
Bart Berman, Fred Gordon
and Kalvin Grove of Chicago,
Alan Kalt, Alan Rein and Byron
Antman.
The - young couple received
their guests in the Statler
Hotel's Terrace Room, which
was given over to the party, at
a dinner and reception. Follow-
ing a wedding trip to Miami
and the Caribbean, the couple
will make their home in Bir-
mingham.

to Wed Next June

MISS HARRIET FIELDS

Mr. and Mrs. Irving Fields,
of Milwaukee, Wis., formerly
of Detroit, announce the en-
gagement of their daughter,
Harriet Muriel, to Jerome Her-
man, son of Mr. and Mrs.
David Herman, - of Miami
Beach, Fla.
Before graduating from the
University of Wisconsin, Miss
Fields attended Wayne State
University. She now teaches
in the Rockford Junior High
School, Rockford, Ill.
Her fiance attended Duke
University, and is now enrolled
at the University of Wisconsin,
from which he will graduate
next June. Wedding plans have
been made for June.

YETZ-COHEN AUXILIARY
will meet Monday evening, in
the Memorial Home, when hos-
tesses will be Goldie Nelson
and Rose Russky. Plans will be
announced for a membership
tea on Oct. 19, in the Home by
Ruth Benach, junior vice-presi-

of Dr. Richard Kirckhoff when
he addresses CENTENNIAL

low the talk by Dr. Kirckhoff, a
staff member of the Merrill
Palmer School, specializing in
research, counseling, teaching
and administration, since 1951,

dent, and Arthur Weinfeld, pro-

Hashomer Hatzair Plan
Activities for Youth

A series of oneg shabbats is
being planned by Hashomer
Hatzair youth group this sea-
son at its Wyoming and Curtis
meeting hall. Activities are di-
rected by Yisrael Stashefsky,
recently arrived here from Is-
rael as a shaliach of the youth
and hechalutz department of
the Jewish Agency.
Other events planned in-
clude holiday celebrations, hik-
ing, sports, study and discus-
sion groups and a week-long
winter camp, to be held during
the winter school recess at
Proud Lake on the Huron
River.

Circle Chorus began this week
and will continue at 9 p.m..,
each Tuesday, at the Circ}
Center, 18340 W. 7 Mile.
All members of the com-
munity interested in singing
Yiddish, Hebrew and English

weekly sessions.
The chorus is conducted by
Abraham Silver, vocalist, in-
structor and conductor of sev-
eral local choral groups. Bella
Goldberg is accompanist for
the group.
Newly-elected officers in-
elude Edmund Langerman,
president; Anne Yelensky,
treasurer; and Selma Ovshin-
sky and Pauline Fabian, secre-
taries.
