Detroiters Win
National Posts

The Detroit alumni of Rho
Pi Phi were elected to national
office at the recent 35th con-
vention of the pharmaceutical
fraternity at Grossingers, in
New York.
Jack Kutnick, chancellor of
the Detroit alumni group, was
voted into office as supreme
exchequer, while Mrs. Kutnick,
who is president of the local
auxiliary, was named supreme
scribe of the national auxiliary.
Mrs. Julius Stross, the other
Detroiter, was elected national
supreme chancellor of the ladies
auxiliary.
Helping to make the conven-
tion more significant for De-
troiters, the 40 local delegates
turned over a check for $750,
proceeds from a recent fund-
raising venture, to the national
group for transmission to the
pharmacy school at the Hebrew
University in Jerusalem. Con-
vention delegates heard that the
national goal of $100,000 had
been nearly achieved.
Meetings of both the alumni
and the auxiliary are held the
first Wednesday of each month.
A paid-up membership dinner
is currently being planned.
