TEL AVIV, (JTA) — Mrs.
Doris Sandov, an American who
has been living here with rela-
tives in Tel Aviv, was drowned
at the resort town of Natanya
after she had rescued her 10-
year-old son.
Mrs. Sandov was not regis-
tered with the United States
consulate nor could her rela-
tives be located to establish her
American address. She was de-
scribed as about 40 years old.
Spectators said the boy was
swimming in the sea when he
was swept out by a heavy un-
dertow. His mother dashed out
and succeeded in reaching him
and towing him out of the cur-
rent, but was unable to reach
safety herself.
