Max and Phillip Stollman will host a reception for Bar-Ilan University this Sunday evening, at the family summer home. 2675 Lake Angelus Rd., Pontiac. Guest of honor at the pro- gram, which will welcome home recent visitors to the Bar-Ilan University at Ramat Gan, Is- rael, will be James G. McDon- ald, the first U.S. 'Ambassador to Israel. In his address, McDonald will outline the current political and economic situation in the Jew- Max Stollman Phillip Stollman ish state. A staunch friend of Bar-Ilan, he also will share with Detroit friends of the university the aims and goals of the now noted institution of higher learning. The first Israel university to be conducted in consonance with American educational standards, Bar-Ilan emphasizes both modern studies and "the eternal principles of the Jewish tradition," Phillip Stollman, who is national chairman of the American Friends of Bar-Ilan, said. Only four-years-old, the Ra- mat Gan university has grown swiftly in size, scope and stu- dent enrollment. Recently dedi- cated was the school's Student Recreation Center, which was established through funds rais- ed by the Mizrachi Women's Organization of America. Now under construction at Bar-Ilan is the Abraham Lin- coln Physics Bldg., which is be- ing built with funds from the United States Inter-Media Guar- antee program. Detroiters who have visited the Bar-Ilan campus are urged to participate in Sunday's pro- gram. For information, call TO. 8-3128.
