Histadrut Lauds Two Trade Union Leaders NEW YORK (JTA)—Tribute was paid here to two American trade union presidents by American and Israeli leaders at the Histadrut Humanitarian Award dinner at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, sponsored by the National Committee for Labor Israel. The awards were presented to David Dubinsky, president of the International Ladies' Gar- ment Workers Union, and Jacob S. Potofsky. president of the Amalgamated Clothing Work- ers of America, for their efforts to "promote understanding be- tween the people of the United States and the people of the State of Israel."
