Wayne State University's Col-

S9.315 research grant to the
College from the National
Multiple Sclerosis Society.
The announcement was made
by James I. Ellman, first vice-
president of the Michigan chap-
ter.
The long term objective is to
thoroughly examine and com-
pare protein specifications of
the serum and cerebrospinal
fluid in certain neurological
diseases in order to determine
if characteristics exist in the
demyelinating disease such as
MS and others.
Immediate aims, under the
grant, are to seek for abnormal
protein components, particu-
larly among the gamma globu-
lins in the serum and cere-
brospinal fluid of the MS
patient using special techniques
and serum antigen specificities
within family cases of multiple
sclerosis.
