Mr. and Mrs. Hyman Baren,
of 19164 Sorrento Ave., an-
nounce the engagement of their
daughter, Lorraine, to Irwin
Fenster, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Samuel Fenster, of 17203. Wis-
consin.
The bride-elect is a student
at Wayne State University. Her
fiance, a former Wayne stu-
dent, is now attending the So-
ciety of Arts and Crafts.
The wedding will be solem-
nized next March 27.

Charles E. Feinberg
Named by Scout Group ,

Charles E. Feinberg, a mem- 1
ber of the Detroit Area Coun-
cil's committee on scouting, was
elected a member of the Na-
tional Jewish committee on
scouting, at the recent annual
meeting in Say Francisco, ac-
cording to lakal executive Jo-
seph H. Brinton.
The appointment was an-
nounced in a letter to BrintuV
--
from Jeffrey L. Lazarus, na-
tional chairman.
Feinberg joined scouting as a
boy in Canada in the early days
of its existence and had the
rare privilege of receiving his
first Scout badge personally
from the late Lord Baden-Pow-
ell, world founder of the move-
ment.

Plans for an Aug. 16 wedding
are being made by Judith Nel-
son and Erwin Aaron Ruben-
stein, whose engagement was
announced by her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Jack Nelson. of Ewald
Circle. Mr. Rubenstein is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan
Rubenstein, of Stratford Ct.,
Oak Park.
The bride-elect was graduated
this June from Wayne State
University with a bachelor of
science degree in medical tech-
nology. She was a member of
Delta Phi Epsilon sorority.
Mr. Rubenstein is a graduate
of the University of Michigan's
school of business administra-
tion, and now attends the WSU
law school. His affiliation was
Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity.

engagement of Janice Kuschin-
ski, daughter of Mrs. Alfred
Kuschinski, of Wildemere Ave.,
and the late Mr. Kuschinski, to

Sisterhoods Spend
$50,000 for Campers

Approximately 300 teen-age
leaders in youth programs of
Reform Jewish congregations
will attend a national Leader-
ship Institute at Zionsville,
Ind., this summer on "camper-
ships" made available by local
affiliates of the National Fed-
eration of Temple Sisterhoods.
In addition, 1,500 young
people will participate in a
dozen regional conclaves being
held in five UAHC camps in
California, Wisconsin. Pennsyl-
vania, Indiana, and Massachu-
setts.
Nearly $50,000 is being con-
tributed by sisterhoods in all
parts of the United States to
provide this financial assist-
ance for boys and girls, 15 to
19, who are potential rabbinic
or lay leaders.
The Institute is conducted
by the National Federation of
Temple Youth in a camp
owned by the parent organiza-
tion of Reform Judaism. the
Union of American Hebrew
Congregations.
"Where Judaism Differs" is
the theme of the Institute. The
program will consist of cul-
tural. study. worship and rec-
reational activities.

Herz Interiors to Move
to Livernois Location

Walter Herz Interiors, Inc.,
after ;being located at 10350
Dexter for 15 years, will move
into new and larger quarters at
18647 Livernois in August.
After extensive remodeling,
the interior decorating firm will
open a 5,000 square foot show-
room-type studio, with attached
work rooms.
Walter Herz is president of
the firm, with Henry G. Dem-
ant, AID, serving as executive
vice-president, and Robert Sie-
gel, AID. as interior designer.
Negotiations for the lease of
the new Herz building were con-
ducted by Delmun Easton, of
Carl Rosman and Co., for the
owners, and Louis Crane. of Ell-
mann and Ellmann, for the
tenants.

Mrs. Deborah Bregman, out-
