in Double-Ring Rites to Spend Summer
in Dutch Homes

to Ronald Eugene Smith, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Albert A.

Cantor Nicholas Fenakel offi-
ciated at the double-ring nup-
tials, which were solemnized
by candlelight at Adas Shalom
Synagogue.
The bride's gown was of ivory
silk mist, with Swedish lace ap-
pliqued on the bodice and wat-
teau back. Her two-tiered veil
of white silk illusion was at-
tached to an ivory silk bow
appliqued with the same lace.
and she carried a bouquet of
white orchids on a Bible.
Mrs. Larry Pallitz attended
the bride as her matron of
honor, and bridesmaids were
Maida Sue Frank. Rhoda Hal-
bert, Mrs. Donna Barsky and
Mrs. Linda Bizer.
Larry Palitz was his brother-
in-law's best man ; while ushers

Zionist Youth to Visit
Israel This Summer

Several members of the Zion-
ist Youth Council • of Detroit
will visit Israel this summer.

The youth council. formed

present a "united Zionist front"
to youth and adults in the com-

Two Detroit area high school
students left this week for
the Netherlands to spend the
summer with Dutch families
as part of the "Youth for Un-
derstanding" student exchange
program, which is affiliated
with the American Field
Service.
The local students are Les-
lye Michlin, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Arnold Michlin, of
Stonewood Ct., Farmington,
and William Cohen, son of Dr.
and Mrs. Abraham L. Cohen,
of Parkwood Rd., Huntington
Woods.
Leslye. who will enter her
senior year at Farmington
High School in September.
will stay with a family in
Sneek, in the North of Hol-
land, near the Zuyder Zee.
Bill, who also is entering
his senior year in the fall, at
Berkley High School, was to
have gone to Finland. Only a
few days before departure,
however, he learned that this
was changed. He will now be
with a family in Bloemendaal.
