Art Cohnes Fabulous Story: Danny Raskin's
Nine Lives of Michael Todd'

Strictly Confidential

-

When the tragic airplane acci-
dent, on March 22, 1958, took
the lives of Michael Todd, the
fabulous movie producer and
husband of Elizabeth Taylor,
and Art Cohn, the Todd story
already had been written.
The foreword and the first 36
chapters of "The Nine Lives of
Michael Todd — The Story of
One of the World's Most Fabu-
lous Showmen," had already
been written by Cohn, his
friend, biographer and great ad-
mirer. Marta Cohn completed
her husband's work by writing
chapters 37 and 38.
Random House has issued this
book, and an interesting insight
is offered into the life of the
picturesque Mike Todd, who was

Avrom, as is known, made
good. He shined shoes as a
youngster. He worked for a
vendor of potato peelers. he was
a bricklayer. Indeed, he lived
nine lives. But the early exper-
iences were mere introductions
to a fabulous existence that de-
veloped when he entered show
business and became a leader
