Plan Israel Holy Day Bond Sales

A mission to Israel, under the
chairmanship of Max M. Shaye

Sept. 21, mis-

are scheduled
to visit Tel
Aviv, the
Negev, Eilat.

Jerusalem.
Included in the itinerary will
be a visit to the ORT school )f
Tel Aviv, HIAS House in the
Lachish area; the Haifa Techni-
on and other projects supported
by funds raised in the Allied
Jewish Campaign.
Talks with officials of the
Israeli government and the Jew-
ish Agency and tours of indus-
trial and agricultural projects
for newcomers to the state also
are planned.
The Detroit Service Group is
the year-round organization of
Allied Jewish Campaign work-
ers,

Final School Board Meeting

The board of the Beth Abra-
ham Religious School will hold
its final meeting at 8:30 p.m.,
Thursday, in - the Lenhard Chap-
el of the synagogue, according
to Morris Davis, chairman.

week over initial plans for Israel Bond sales during the High
Holy Days. Officers of the High Holy Day Committee for
Israel Bonds, under the chairmanship of Phillip Stollman
(right), met with Adolph Hamburger, of Baltimore, national
chairman of the Israel Bonds Holy Day Committee, during
his brief visit here, to plan the local appeals. Meeting with
them to outline the plans also were (on the left) Norman
Allen and Zvi Tomkiewicz.

Community Workshop..
The award, given for the first
time, honors the firm which has
been most helpful in contract-
ing work to be performed by
aging and handicapped people
in the sheltered work facilities
of Community Workshop.
The annual Employer-of-the-
Year award for cooperation in
hiring people with special em-
ployment problems was present-

JERUSALEM — The Zionist
Actions Committee constitu-
tional amendment adopted here
last week, permitting non-Zion-
ist Jewish organizations to join
the Zionist movement if they
adopt the Zionist program, is
receiving favorable reaction
from several Jewish organiza-
tions abroad, circles close to
the Jewish Agency declared
here Tuesday.
Dr. Nahum Goldmann, chair-
man of the Agency, will begin
negotiations with a number of
such organizations soon when
he visits Western Europe and
the United States, these circles
stated.
The organizations with which
Dr. Goldmann will negotiate
have reportedly indicated an
interest in joining the Zionist
movement in accordance with
the new constitutional amend-
ment,
