Wolf of Oak Park and nephew of the Morris, David and Max Wolfs, of Detroit. A member of the American Mathematical Association, Rot- man's seven years at U. of C. were sponsored entirely by fellowships. Last year by was granted an award by the National Science Foundation, Washing- ton, to be used in mathematics research at U. of C. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Eli Rotman (Rose Wolf, of Detroit), of Chicago, he has taught at Northwestern Uni- versity and U. of C., and was appointed research associate in the mathematics department at the University of Illinois, at Urbana.
