Woman's Auxiliary of the
United Hebrew Schools for the
1959-60 year.

Betrothal Told

A musical summer playschool
for children 3 to 10 will open
July 6, under the direction
of Mrs. David Holtzman, a
graduate of the Detroit Con-
servatory of music, piano
teacher for 20 years and music
director at a summer camp
for 10 years.
Two sessions are planned
from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30
to 2 p.m., and children may at-
tend for two, three or four-
week periods. They will be
taught notes, music apprecia-
tion, rhythm band, group play,
dancing, arts and crafts, voice,
piano and choral instruction.

Charlie Gabriel, "who walks
the Sax like nobody can" is
the sensation of Eddie Walk-
er's Harlem Revue, fast moving
show at Detroit's newest night
spot, the Cotton Club, W. 8
Mile, 4 blocks east of Meyers,
which opened last Friday.
In addition to his saxophone
specialty, versatile Gabriel is an
accomplished comedian, imata-
tor, specialty singer and the
master of five musical instru-
ments.
The "Goddess of Flame"
Princess Natoma, internation-
ally famous exotic dancer, who
comes to the Cotton Club di-
rect from the Appollo Theater
in New York City, is _featured
in her fire dance.
Blues singer Marie Garrett at
the organ, plus the ballads and
harmonica wizardry of popular
Eddie Walker are other fea-
tures bringing crowds nightly
to the Cotton Club.
