Mr. and Mrs. Jay Wainer, of Canterbury Rd., have returned from a stay at the Concord Hotel, in the Catskills, where Mr. Wainer attended the convention of the National Truckers and Auto Wreckers Ass'n. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Ledger, of 13241 Albany, Oak Park, will hold open house this Sunday in honor of the graduation of their daughter, Winifred, from the University of Michigan college of education. Miss Ledger is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Pi Lambda Theta, national honorary societies. Mr. and Mrs. Byron Krieger, formerly of Monterey Ave., are now residing in their new home at 18527 Flamingo Blvd., Livonia. The 30th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Rose, of Vernon Ave., Huntington Woods, will be celebrated at a reception Sunday afternoon, at the home of their children, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Iden, of Elgin Ave., Huntington Woods. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Rose, also of Huntington Woods, will receive with their parents. Out-of-town guests will include Mr. and Mrs. Jack Topolsky and Mr. Albert Kawer, of Tuckahoe, N.Y.; Mr. and Mrs. I. Brodach, of Toronto, Ont., and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Fink, of Evanston, Ill. Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Fink, of Carol Ave., will arrive home this weekend from an extended visit to Israel and Europe in time to join in the anniversary celebration being planned for Mrs. Fink's brother and sister-in-law, the Jack Roses. Traveling companions for the trip, which included stopovers in Rome, Paris and London, were the Morris Rosenbergs, of Dartmouth Ave., Oak Park. Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Zeitlin, who were married March 1, in Berkeley, Calif., will be in Detroit for two weeks, during which they will be guests of honor at a reception planned by Mr. Zeit- lin's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Zeitlin. The party will be held at 2 p.m., June 21, at the Sholem Aleichem Institute. Mr. Zeitlin is a graduate student and teaching assistant in the University of California department of sociology and recently won a Wood- row Wilson Fellowship. Mrs. Zeitlin attends Oakland City College. After vacationing in Michigan, the couple will travel East to visit with her mother, Mrs. Anna Geller, of New York. Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Laikin are visiting in Baltimore, to attend the confirmation of their grandson, Michael Stuart Novey, at the Chizuk Amunah Synagogue, today. Miss Maxine Stoller, of the Jules Doneson Travey Agency, has just returned from a tour through Fort Lauderdale, Miami and Nassau, where she visited the newest hotels and clubs in the area in preparation for the coming tourist season. Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Rosin have left aboard the liner Olym- pia for a three-month stay in Israel. Mrs. Beulah Flint and Mrs. Pnina Goldenberg were passen- gers aboard the Israeli flagship Zion, which left June 4 for Haifa. Dr. and Mrs. Sidney Stone left last week on their honey- moon to England, France, Switzerland, the Riviera, Italy and Israel. Mrs. Rachel Sherman and Mrs. Ida Rothenstein left this week for a visit in Scotland. A surprise party was given May 30 for Mr. and Mrs. Hyman B.
