The 50- year-old diplomat died early Sunday of a heart attack. Prime Minister David Ben- Gurion eulogized Mr. Shiloah, praising his relations with dip- lomats and statesmen, and said that Mr. Shiloah had been "of great help in strengthening Is- rael's position with states throughout the world." The bier lay in state in the court yard of t h e Foreign Ministry until noon. Wh en t h e services started, F o r- Mr. Shiloah e ign Minister Golda Meir, her voice choked and tearful, delivered a eulogy. In attendance were President and Mrs. Itzhak Ben-Zvi, and all of the Cabinet members who are present in Israel. Mr. Shiloah was the former Israeli Minister Plenipotentiary to Washington, and political ad- visor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since the state was es- tablished in 1948.
