Concluding the basketball picture last week were all-star contests between the Class B all stars, who beat league champion Normans, 25-18, and Class A all-stars, who downed league titlist Bismarks, 33-21. Over 300 fans watched the contests in the Max M. and Marjorie S. Fisher gymnasium of the Center's new main building, and contributed $95 for the Jerusalem YMHA. Meanwhile, j u n i o r, teen, tween and senior divisions are organizing softball leagues at both the main center and the 10 Mile branch. Main Center juniors, 9-12, will begin the season May 3, at area school diamonds, con- tinuing through June. Separate leagues for 9 and 10-year-olds and 11 and 12-year-olds are being formed. Fathers are still needed as coaches. A meeting of boys and their dads will take place at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, when Norman Schimelman will outline the program. Boys must bring their own gloves. The Center will furnish all other equipment. Teen softball will be organ- ized in A (16-18) and B (14-15) leagues, with play starting at 10 a.m., May 3. The B league will meet at Mumford High, while A leaguers will meet at Lugar Field, 7 Mile and Tracey. A slow-pitching league for young adults and adults (19 and over) will start at 10 a.m., May 10, at Schulze School. Regis- tration will be accepted through Sunday. At the 10 Mile branch, teen- tween boys (12-17) and tween girls (12-13) and adult men over 21 are organizing softball leagues to begin May 10. Regis- tration must be made by this Monday.
