Ashdod Rayon Plant
to Double Facilities

JERUSALEM, (JTA)--z-Inves-
tors headed by Israel Rogosin,
American industrialist, will ex-
pand the rayon plant at Ashdod,
building an additional plant
worth $5,000,000, according to
an agreement announced here.
Rogosin left for the United
States after having come here
to negotiate the latest agree-
ment.
The new building will be
twice as large as the present
plant, which produces nylon
threads for fabrics and tires
from basic . chemical materials.
The existing plant, completed
only last December, already
produces each month 250,000
tons of tire and fabric yarn,
plus 100,000 tons monthly of
nylon and rayon for textiles.
Israel's gross national prod-
ucts rose 12 percent during the
fiscal year ending March 31,
the Ministry of Labor reported.
