LONDON, (JTA) — The Jew- in this country, where large numbers of Jews have concen- trated, are breaking up, as more and more Jews move to the sub- urbs, the Zionist Federation of Gi-eat Bilitain was told at its conference by honorary presi- dent, Israel Sieff. Stressing the education of Jewish youth, -Sieff told the con- ference that Jews no longer live in many areas formerly thickly populated by them in Leeds, Manchester and other cities. Jews are also moving out of London's East End—all going to the suburbs. Five Jewish Day Schools opened in England during re cent years, and a sixth school of that type to be opened soon, "will be copied everywhere in the Western world," Sieff de- clared. "The Jewish child trained in a Jewish Day School isgoing to be the invincible core of the Zionist movement that is to come." Emigration from England to Israel, he continued, is "a mere trickle, because even Zionists are not yet able to make that sacrifice in order to go to live in Israel and build their lives Tunisian sources. The Lebanese paper claimed that President Bourguiba had made the statement in an in- terview with its representative. The President, the paper al- leged, said that one could not deny the existence of Israel the way the Arab States were trying to do, and that it was therefore not enough to fight her with words. What was necessary was a general concerted action against Israel which could even lead to armed conflict. • When asked by another Leb- anese correspondent what ginee 19-14 The LEADER FAMILY takes a personal interest in YOUR CARPET CLEANING eacie CARPET CLEANING CO. II ROME, (WJA)—Reports that I Adolph Hitler secretly aided Emperor Haile Selassie of Ethiopia when Italy invaded his country were termed "improb able" by Gen. Quirino Armel- lini, ex-Chief of Operations of Italy's invasion forces. The general said that prior to and during the 1935-36 cam- paign, he had been fully in- formed about all foreign aid Ethiopia received in her fight against the Itaffans, but there had never been any shred of in- formation on secret assistance from Hitler's Germany, as claimed by the Paris daily `Figaro' recently. He had been taken complete. ly aback by 'Figaro's' allega- tions, the general said, but if they were true, after all, he owed the Germans belated com- pliments for their "extraordi- nary efficiency" in keeping sec- ret their co-operation with Ethi- opia. The President, addressing a press conference on the con- clusion of the recent Conven- tion of the Neo-Destour Party, was asked (not by the repre- sentative of the Lebanese daily) whether he would go back to the Arab League. President Bourguiba said he would not return to the Arab League because all that Nasser and his friends did was talk. The President gave Israel as an example of Nasser and his friends' incapacity for action. They did not recognize the existence of Israel, although this was a reality.
