The marriage of Janice Su-
zanne Manning to Dr. Harold
L. Katzman was solemnized at
ceremonies at the Sheraton-
Cadillac Hotel on April '7.
Rabbis .Morris Adler and Leon
Fram officiated. The bride's
parents are the Lewis H. Man-
nings of Parkside and Dr.
Katzman's parents are Dr. and
Mrs. I. S. Katzman of Santa
Barbara Dr.
The bride wore a gown of
white silk peau de sole, with
appliques of peau de lange
lace on the molded bodice
and dome-shaped skirt, and
garlands of the lace edging
the cathedral train. Her three-
tier fingertip veil fell from a
tiara of heirloom orange blos-
soms. She carried cymbidium
orchids and stephanotis on a
white Bible.
Mrs. Mervyn Manning, sis-
ter-in-law of the bride, attend-
ed as matron-of-honor. Diane
Clark and Leslie Manning were
bridesmaids and Roberta Hu-
bert served as junior brides-
maid.
Gerald Curtis served as best
man. The ushers were Mer-
vyn Manning, Dr. Marvin Sie-
gel, Dr. Marvin Gordon, Dr.
Morton Maza, Burton Freed-
man, and Dr. Daniel Schech-
ter.
A reception followed the
ceremony and Dr. and Mrs.
Katzman are • now spending
their honeymoon in Bermuda.

their daughter and son was an-
nounced this week by former
Detroiters, Dr. and Mrs. Edward
R. Robbins, of 98 Fremont
Place, Los Angeles, Calif.
Their daughter, Bette Louise
Robbins, is betrothed to Capt.
Edward Jay Leavitt, of the U.S.
Marine Corps, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Saul Leavitt, of Boston,
Mass.
Miss Robbins has attended
the University of California,
and is in her senior year now
at UCLA. Capt. Leavitt is a
graduate of the U.S. Naval
Academy at Annapolis, Md., and
is now on a tour of duty at
Camp Pendleton, Calif.
The Robbins' son, James Sam-
uel, a student at Baylor Univer-
sity mediacl school, is engaged
to Sandra Gordon, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. David Gordon, of
Houston, Tex. She is a senior
at Rice University.
