The bride-elect attended
Wayne State University. Her
fiance graduated from WSU

achusetts. He is. presently work-
ing on a master's degree in
urban planning at WSU.

June 15 wedding.

Bnai Moshe Women
to Install Officers
The annual installation of of-
ficers and Torah luncheon of
Cong. Bnai Moshe Sisterhood
will be held on Monday, at
12:30 p.m., in the social hall
on Dexter and Lawrence. New
officers will be installed by
Mrs. Joseph Markle, Michigan
Branch in Training president of
the National Women's League.
Mrs. Harry Markle, newly re-
elected Sisterhood president,
announced that the Sisterhood
choral group will present the
premiere of the cantata "Our
Heritage," directed by Cantor
Louis Klein.
Other officers to be installed
with Mrs. Markle are: -IVIes-
dames Seymour Fried, Oscar
Spilkin, Herman Roth and Er-
win Friedman, vice-presidents;
Milton Weisz, John Sander,
Julius Kahn and Edward. Guns-
berg, secretaries; William Roth,
treasurer; James Sobel, chap-
lain; and I. E. Goodman, par-
liamentarian.
All Sisterhood members are
requested to bring their brace-
lets and canisters to the meet-
ing on Monday for engraving,
according to Mesdames David
Bernstein and Fred Weiss, co-
chairmen of the Torah Fund.
Jewish National Fund Ladies
Auxiliary will hold an open
meeting at 12:30- p.m., Tuesday,
at Beth Aaron Synagogue,

Temple Israel to Host
Inter-Congregation Dance

The fourth annual inter-
congregational dance will be
held on April 11 at Temple
Israel. It is sponsored through
the combined efforts of the
Young Married groups in the
city.
The dance will feature the
music of Sammy Woolf and
his orchestra, and refreshments
will be served throughout the
evening highlighted by a mid-
night supper.

Sept. 6 Wedding Date
Programs Listed for
Season's Town Hall
Detroit Town Hall will open
its 31st season Oct. 7.
The 12-lecture series, held in
Ford Auditorium at 11 a.m. on
alternate Wednesdays, will
begin with Basil Rathbone.
Others scheduled to appear
are Victor Riesel, Harry Golden,
Betty Beale, Nelson and Neale,
Dr. Leland Miles, Neil Douglas,

Cohen and Barry David Yaker,
whose engagement was recent-
ly announced by her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Bernard M.
Cohen, of Wildemere Ave. Mr.
Yaker is the son of Mrs. Betty
Yaker, of Southfield, and the
late Mr. William Yaker.
The bride-to-be is a junior
at the University of Michigan.
Her fiance is a graduate of
Wayne State University, and is
presently a senior in the U. of
M. law school, where he is
affiliated with Sigma Alpha Mu
and Tau Epsilon Rho frater-
nities.
1 green pepper, chopped
4 garlic cloves, mashed
1/2 teaspoon basil
1 cup canned tomatoes
1/ 4 cup dry red wine
8 ounces noodles, boiled
and drained
V2 cup olive oil
1 /2 cup Mar Pary
2 cups finely chopped onion
1 teaspoon salt
freshly ground black pepper
Saute chicken in combined olive oil and Mar Pary for
basil, salt and block pepper and simmer for 5 minutes. Add
tomatoes. Bring to boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20
minutes, stirring occasionally. Add wine and simmer for 10
minutes. Put noodles into warm casserole or serving dish.
