MUNICH, (JTA)—A "White
Book" exposing the anti-Semitic
and anti-democratic activities of
Hungarian refugees in Germany
was published here by the So-
cial Democratic Party and the
International Association of So-
cialist Emigrants, alleging that
a notorious anti-Semite, Arpad
Henney, heads the international
fascist organization which has

An unusually large variety of tempting kosher-for-Pass-
over candies and pastries have been made available for holi-
day sweet tables by Barton's Chocolates. Among the Pass-
over delicacies that are being offered in all local Barton's
shops are seven layer cakes, chocolate petits fours, pastry
puffs, chocolate chiffon cakes, cookies, chocolate mints, choco-
late matzo balls and the customary fruit slices.

To Develop New Laws British Labor Friendly
Governing Libyan Jews to Israel, Leader Claims

WASHINGTON (JTA) — Tri-
politania, one of the three
provinces in Libya, is drawing
up new regulations governing
the Jewish community in that
area, to replace laws that have
been in force since the period
when Libya was ruled by Italy.
An announcement that the
Italian laws are to be wiped
out was made here by the
Libyan embassy. The embassy
also denied that there was an
investigation under way regard-
ing the finances of the Jewish
community.
Such a probe, said the em-
bassy's statement, is being di-
rected only into the books
and financial accounts of the
Jewish Community Organization
of Tripolitania, where charges
of mishandling of funds have
been made.

LONDON (JTA)—"There is
no word of truth in the mis-
chievous propaganda by right-
wing- elements who claim that
the Labor Party is unfriendly
to Israel," Anthony Greenwood,
Laborite member of Parlia-
ment, and a member of Labor's
"shadow cabinet," declared at
the annual conference of the
Pioneer Women here.
Far from being unfriendly to
Israel, Labor. demands "guar-
antees of Israel's frontiers, an
end to the Arab . blockade
against Israel, and an end to
the anti-Israeli boycott," Green-
wood declared.
Hope that Britain would
support Israel's right to un-
hampered navigation through
the Suez Canal was expressed
at the meeting by another
speaker, Dr. S. S. Levenberg,
Labor Zionist leader.

JERUSALEM (JTA)—Prime
Minister David Ben-Gurion
twitted world Bible champion
Amos Haham on his bachelor
status.
The Prime Minister attended
the house warming at a two-
and-a-half room apartment pre-
sented to Haham as a gift
from the Histaclrut and Solel
Boneh.
Looking around the apart-
ment, the Prime Minister cited
a Talmudic saying that "three•
things content a man—a pleas-
ant dwelling, pleasant furni-
ture and a pleasant wife." He
told Haham that only a "nice
woman" was lacking to make
the saying complete for the
champion.

Pioneer Jos. - Trtmipledor
Honored at Army Parade

TEL AVIV (JTA) — Special
ceremonies were held to honor
the memory of Joseph Trurnple-
dor, a hero of the early days
of the Jewish settlement in
Palestine, who, with a number
of other young Jews, was killed
in 1921, while defending what
was then the northernmost Jew-
ish outpost near Tel ,Hai. A spe-
cial army parade was held, and
youth organizations marched to
Trumpledor's tomb.

its headquarters here.
The organization is "Hungar-
istaszorvany." Henney is report-
ed by the "White Book" to have
been a close friend of the late
Ferenc S z a 1 a z i, Hungarian
"Cross and Arrow" leader, who
was executed in 1946 after con-
viction of having committed
war crimes.
For more than a year, the
Bavarian J e wish Community
here has demanded the banning
of anti-Semitic periodicals is-
sued by the Hungarian fascists.
Two of the periodicals, "Cel"
and "Hidverok," continue pub-
lication and are being distrib-
uted from the Munich headquar-
ters to fascist Hungarian groups
abroad.
Judicial authorities here have
said repeatedly that the laws
here do not permit confiscation
of the periodicals, in spite of
the fact that there is a specific
law in Bavaria forbidding slan-
der of national or religious
groups.

A protest against publication
of fascist Hungarian literature
here, and its distribution by
members of the anti-Semitic,
"Cross and Arrow" group, was
made here to the government
last week by the Organization of
Social Democrat Emigrants. The
same group of Hungarian refu-
gees has also been accused of
distributing anti-Semitic litera-
ture.
