Mrs. ROBERT A COGGAN, of Detroit, president of Bnai Brith Women's District 6, chats with a patient in front of the National Jewish Hos- pital, a Bnai Brith philanthro- py in Denver, Colo. The visit was one of a series of stop- overs made by Mrs. Coggan on a field trip throughout the district, which is com- prised of eight Midwestern states and four Canadian Provinces, to mark the 50th anniversary year of the wo- men's organization. Bnai Brith to Fete Bnai Brith Ball Ends Fund Drive The fund-raising drive of the All 26 lodges and several 10,000th Donor Metropolitan Detroit Bnai Brith Regularly scheduled blood bank rallies have been part of the activities of the Detroit Men's and Women's Bnai Brith Councils since Oct. 17, 1950. In that eight year span, Bnai Brith donors have given nearly 10,000 pints of blood to the Red Cross, to be used whenever members have been in need. On either March 30 or 31— and nobody is saying which— the 10,000th donor will be re- vealed. These are the dates of the next blood rallies, which will be held Monday, at Oak Park's Clinton School, and Tues- day, at Adas Shalom Synagogue. The 10,000th donor will be the guest of the Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas, Nev., through ar- rangements made by Bnai Brith with the hotel's management. The 9,999th and 10,001st donors will be consoled with trips to the Concord and Grossingers, in New York. At Tuesday's rally, polio shots will be available at $1 to all who attend, even though they are not donors, advises Sol Moss, Men's Council chairman. First, second, third and booster shots are being given. According to Mrs. Charles Blauer, Women's Council chair- man, Bnai Brith volunteer work- ers will serve as nurses' aides and registrants at the rallies. The local organization holds five two-day blood banks each year. Since June 1, 1958, nearly 1,100 pints of blood have been distributed.
