Speaking their vows before
Rabbi Sherwin T. Wine, of Tem-
ple Beth El, at an altar impro-
vised at Holiday Manor on Feb.
15 were Joanne Kay Lichten-
stein and Wil Thomas Viviano.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Lichten-
stein, of Wisconsin Ave. His par-
ents are Mr. and Mrs. G. T.
Viviano, of Oak Park, Mich.
For her wedding, the bride
wore a simple sheath with a
slim bodice of bridal white peau
de soie and topped with a sa-
bring neckline in front and a
straight V in hack. The sleeves
were three - quarter push - ups.
The skirt was fashioned with
an overskirt of silk organza,
harem-shaped and with side
panels that fell over nylon tulle
to street length.
Her veil was an oval-shaped,
lace scalloped mantilla of pointe
de Venice. which she brought
back with her from Venice last
spring. She carried an arrange-
ment of fleur de-amour with
cascading English ivy.
Mrs. Harry Heller. sister of
the • bride, was her matron of
honor. and Sarah Litoff. of New
York. was her only bridesmaid.
Mr. Viviano asked his brother,
Norman Viviano, to be his best
man, while Dr. Harry Heller,
the bride's brother-in-law, serv-
ed as head usher. Seating the
guests were Leon Becker. Law-
rence .Cantor, the bridegroom's
cousin. Clarence Goldberg, Ar-
thur Kellman and Marshall
Skrome. another cousin.
Following the ceremony. the
couple received their guests at
a breakfast reception.

Brevities

A program originally sched-
uled by the Music Study Club
for this Saturday has been post-
poned to 12:30 p.m., Tuesday,
in the Morris L. Schaver audi-
torium of the Hayim Greenberg
Center, 19161 Schaefer.
In making the announcement,
Mrs. Marguerite Kozenn Chajes,
club program chairman, stated
that a panel discussion on
Jewish music will highlight the
appearance of Mrs. Gertrude
Levi Gordon, popular vocalist,
who will render several selec-
tions in Hebrew and Yiddish.
Panelists will include Rabbi
M. Robert Syme, of Temple
Israel Cantor Reuven Frankel,
of Cong. Shaarey Zedek; and
Mrs. Herbert Eskin. Mesdames
Norman Allan and Ira G. Kauf-
man are, respectively, program
chairman and co-chairman for
the day.
On Thursday afternoon, the
group's philanthropic commit-
tee will present a program at
the Jewish Home for Aged. The
choral group, directed by Mrs.
Allan and accompanied by Mrs.
Isadore Mendelson, will be fea- I
tured.
Solo selections will he ren-
dered by Mrs. Allan Braver,

2 garlic cloves, minced

Saute onion in Oleo for 5 minutes. Add beef, caraway, marjoram,
garlic, salt and 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat,
cover and simmer for 1 hour. Combine the paprika, catsup and
2 tablespoons of water. Add this mixture to the stew and simmer
for 10 minutes. Serve with potatoes and egg slices. Serves 6.

A fellowship to the National
Camp Leadership Institute of
the National Ramah Commis-
sion has been awarded to JEF-
FREY HOWARD TIGAY. of
18100 Indiana. The Institute is
a new educational program to
train superior college freshman
in JeWish education and corn-
munity leadership preparatory
to appointment on the staff of
one of the four Hebrew-speak-
ing Ramah camps. Tigay will be
among 30 .other-young men and
women who will attend Camp
Ramah in the Poconos, Lake
Como, Pa., this summer. The
