A formal intercollegiate de-
bate between Yeshiva Univer-
sity of New York and the Uni-
versity of Detroit will take
place at 8 p.m.. Feb. 25, at
Young Israel Center of Oak-
Woods.
The debate will discuss the
topic: "Resolved: That the Fur-
ther Development of Nuclear
Weapons Be Prohibited i-ry In-
ternational Agreement."
Three prominent journalistic
figures will judge the debate.
They are the managing editors
of the Detroit daily news-
papers, Frank Angelo, of the
Detroit Free Press; John Mc-
Clellan, Detroit Times; and
Harvey Patton, Detroit News.
The proposed debate has
caused considerable local in-
terest because the topic is cur-
rently being considered as part
of the agenda of the Geneva
Conference.

Begin Weekly Events
for College Youth

"College Capers," a new pro-
gram of weekly special events,
is now underway at the Ten
Mile Jewish Center, 15110 W. 10
Mile.
The program is set for Thurs-
day evenings, and includes
dances, fashion shows, sports
nights and other exciting fea-
tures. Scheduled for the next
few weeks are a tour of the
Center's new main building, 10
Mile "Ice Cream Parlor" and a
Kangaroo Kourt.

The third annual student art
exhibit will be staged at the
branch from 2 to 5 p.m.,
March 8. Works from adult and
youth students from the
branch's nine art classes will be

swimming pool at the new build-

Ice Capades will be held under

hood and Men's Club of Temple
Emanu-El at 2 p.m., March 1,
at Olympia Stadium.
