A series of four events is
being planned this week by
members of the Sheruth League,
beginning at 12:30 p.m. Tues-
day, with a luncheon in the
home of Mrs. Maurice Fried,
19474 Monica. Co-hostesses are
Mesdames Charles Kaufman and
Dave Muskovitz.
That evening, at 8:30 p.m., a
women's bridge tournament is
being held at the Sholem
Aleichem Institute, 19350
Greenfield. Prizes and refresh-

Sets Music Panel

A panel discussion on Jewish

music will be offered by the
Music Study Club at 12:30 p.m.,
Tuesday, in the Schaver audi-
torium of the Hayim Greenberg
Center, 19161 Schaefer, it is
announced by Mrs. Jack Mash,
president.
Music of the Reform temple, -
of Israel and of the Conserva-
tive synagogue will be discussed,
respectively, by Rabbi M.
Robert Syme, of Temple Israel,
who also will serve as mod-
erator; Cantor Reuven Frankel,
of Cong. Shaarey Zedek; and
Mrs. Herbert Eskin.
Mrs. Hal Gordon will provide
vocal illustrations of the va-
rious types of music.
Serving as program chairman
is Mrs. Norman Allan, who is as-
sisted by Mrs. Ira G. Kaufman
as co-chairman.

LAMB FRICASSEE

2 tablespoons salad oil 3 medium sized onion,
mint flakes
2 pounds lamb shout-
sliced
11/2 tablespoons all-
der cut in 2-inch
2 teaspoons salt
purpose flour
cubes
1/4 teaspoon pepper
I1/2 tablespoons cold
11/2 cups water
1'/2 cups sliced carrots 1 teaspoon dehydrated water cooked rice

Heat oil. Add lamb and cook until lightly browned on all sides.
Drain off drippings. Add 11/2 cups water, carrots, onions, salt,
pepper and mint flakes. Cover and cook over low heat 2 hours.
Combine flour and Ph tablespoons water; blend. Add to lamb mix-
ture. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
Serve Iamb mixture over rice. Serve with peas, as desired.
