Six Artists at
Stone-Liptzen Rites

Concert Feb. 11
At 8:20 p.m. next Wednes-
day, the Detroit Friends of •
Music will present its second
concert of the 1959 season at
the Hayim Greenberg Center.
Six artists — Emma Schaver,
Paul Olefsky, Gordon Staples,
Nathan Gordon, Lare Wardrop
and Kenneth Goldsmith — will
be featured.
Mrs. Schaver will present the
cantata "Shepherd of Israel"
by Alan Hovhaness, which had
its premiere here last season.
She also will sing three compo-
sitions built on the theme of
Shir Hashirim (the Song of
Songs) by Lazar Saminsky, Lyu-
bov Strieher and Marc Lavry.
She will be accompanied on
the English horn by Lare War-
drop and by the American Arts
String Quartet.

The bride's gown was of
white peau de soie, and was
highlighted by appliques of
ivory Alencon lace. Her Span-
ish mantilla veil was of match-
ing ivory illusion bordered with
the Alencon lace.
