Psychotherapists Plan Conference Michigan Institute of Group Psychotherapy and Psych o- drama, now in the process of incorporation, will present its first annual conference and banquet at the Statler-Hilton Hotel, Jan. 31 and Feb. 1. Registration will be from 8 to 9 a.m., on the opening day of the conference. Special student and non-member rates will pre- vail. The conference is open to physicians, psychiatrists, psy- chologists, social workers, edu- cators, personnel directors, min- isters and public relations directors. Following the banquet, at 8 p.m., there will be a panel discussion led by Dr. Rudolph Dreikurs, director of the Alfred Adler Clinic of Chicago, pro- fessor of psychiatry at the Chi- cago Medical School, and a past president of the Society. Dr. J. L. Moreno and Dr. Robert S. Drews will summarize and evaluate the day's activities. Dr. Drews, a Detroit psychia- trist, is founder and director of the Institute, a Fellow of the American Society for Group Psychotherapy and Psych o- drama, the Society's national president, and president of the Michigan Chapter. He is also a member of the International Congress of Medical Psycho- therapy and the International Council of Group Psycho- therapy, as well as contributing editor to "Group Psycho- therapy." A number of different dis- cussions in various fields of psychotherapy will be led by authorities in their fields. The close of the conference will be highlighted with an ad- dress by Dr. J. L. Moreno on "Global Psychodrama and Global Therapy."
