MRS. DAVID MITCHELL

Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Ray-
mond Eder. of 19375 Canter-
bury Rd., announce the Dec.
28 marriage of their daughter
Beverly Lois to Richard David
Mitchell. son of Mr. and Mrs.
Samuel Mitchell. of 14241 Lin-
coln Dr., Oak Park. The candle-
light ceremony was held in the
Sheraton-Cadillac Crystal Ball-
room, with Rabbi Morris Adler
and Cantors Jacob H. Sonen-1
klar and Nicholas Fenakel of-
ficiating.
Serving as bridesmaids were
Barbara Rosenberg, Brenda
Barak, Barbara Rosen. Carol
Radner and Judith Allen. while'
flowergirls were Carol Dunitz
and Denise Keywell, with
Marcia Eder. sister of the :
bride. as maid of honor; Rob-1
ert Fleischer, ringbearer; and
Sheldon Satovsky, Michael Jul-
iano and Bernard Singer. ush-
ers. The bridal procession was
led by the bride's grandmother
Mrs. Samuel Satovsky, and the
bride's uncle Abraham Satov-
sky.
Attending the bridegroom
were his brother-in-law Daniel
Dunitz as best man and Lester
Satovsky, Al Sandelman, Aaron
Geselis. Philip Katz and Eu-
gene Mitchell as ushers.
The bride wore an empire
gown of ivory satin. highlight-
ed by a scalloped neckline and
bodice of Alencon lace sprink-
led with pearls. The harem
skirt was set off by the flow-
ing trapeze train attached at
shoulder-level with roses of the
same material. Her finger-tip
veil was attached to a pearl
tiara and she carried a bou- '
quet of butterfly white roses
with loveknots and stephanotis
on a white Bible.
Mr. Mitchell attended Adrian
College, and is a graduate of
Wayne State University. Mrs.
Mitchell is a former student of
both Michigan State University
and WSU.
Out-of-town guests were from
Minneapolis. Chicago and Win- •
neta.
Upon their -.return from a
European honeymoon, the
couple will live on Greenfield
Ave.. in Detroit.

Bnai Brith Girls
Set 'Karnival Kapers'

Karnival Kapers. the annual
fund-raising event of the Great-
er Detroit Bnai Birth Girls
Council, is being planned for
8:30 p.m., Feb. 14. at the Hayim
Green berg Center, 19161
Schaefer.
The activity will feature the
participation of all 20 chapters
affiliated with BBG. Each will
enter and operate a booth at
the carnival.
General chairman of Karni-
val Kapers is Jacqueline Levin.
She is assisted by Roz Kirzner,
publicity; Joyce Sherman, tick-
ets; and Dolores Nachman,
booths.

Set Fall Date

Knights of Pythias Detroit
Lodge No. 55 and Detroit Tem-
ple No. 152, Pythian Sisters,
will install newly-elected offi-
cers at a joint dinner-dance be-
ginning with a cocktail hour at
6:30 p.m., Wednesday evening,
at Holiday Manor.
Irving Gladstone will be in-
ducted as chancellor commander
of the Lodge, while Jennie Ros-
enberg is installed as most ex-
cellent chief of the sister or-
ganization.
Other Lodge officers are Joe
Shulman, vice-chancellor; Sam
Wilson, prelate; Donald Ber-
kower, master of arms; Meyer
Garber, inner guard; Marvin
Hoffman, outer guard; and Irv-
ing Gendelman, master of work.
Installing the officers will be
Ted Pines, past chancellor. who
is to be assisted by PC Ralph
Snyder, acting guard prelate;
PC Leonard Goldman, acting
grand master of arms; and PC
Manuel Mackie, acting master
of arms.
Past chief Lenore Pines will
install new Temple officers, as-
sisted by Frieda Weisman, act-
ing grand manager, and Elsie
Greene. acting grand senior_
New officers include Sara
Gendelman, past chief; Gerry
Grushky, excellent senior; Gus-
sie Weiss. pianist; Diane Brin-
ing, excellent junior; Ceil Gold-
berg, manager: Lee Frischman.
secretary: Sophie Sorkin. treas-
urer: Phyllis Drucker, protec-
tor; and Etta Felsot, guard.

MISS ESTELLE

Mayfair Kosher Caterers, of
19161 Schaefer, this week an-
nounced the asssociation of
Harvey Bloom with his mother,
Mrs. Harry Bloom, and sister,
Shirlee Bloom, in managing the
firm.
His background and years of
experience in the catering field
is expected to enhance future
affairs planned at the Mayfair
Room, in private homes or syn-
agogues.
Mayfair has hen a leading
kosher caterer in the city for ,

'Horsey Hop' Square Dance

The Horsey Hop," annual
square dance of the Young
Peoples League of Cong. Shaar-
ey Zedek, will be held at 9 p.m.,
Sunday, in the synagogue social
hall.
The music and calling of Jim
Schultheis will be featured. and
there will he prizes and re-
freshments. All young adults
are invited to attend.
