Gimbel, 17711 Hamilton. Aline B. Saarinen, author of the recent book, ''The Proud Possessors," will be the guest speaker. Her subject is "Adven- tures in Biography." Mrs. Saarinen, wife of the noted architect, Eero Saarinen, is assistant art critic of the New York Times, and has served on the staffs of several art publi- cations. She is the winner of many awards for art criticsm, and in 1957 she was given a Guggen- heim fellowship grant upon the completion of her book. Pres- ently, Mrs. Saarinen commutes between her home in Bloomfield Hills and New York for her art assignments. Mrs. Norman J. Levey is chairman of the book fund com- mittee, and is assisted by Mes- dames Jerry Morse and Ben Schottenfels. Mrs. Charles Brisk- man is program chairman, and Mesdames Charles Nannes and William G ershenson are in charge of hospitality. According to Mrs. Arthur Rice, president of the Brandeis Women's Committee, the group engages in no fund-raising activ- ities, depending on annual and life membei.ships and book fund collections to meet all needs of the university's library which it maintains. - True Sisters Gives Support to Hospital Meeting on Tuesday, at the Detroit Memorial Hospital, members of Detroit Chapter, United Order of True Sisters, presented Dr. James Lostrum, head of the hospital's radiology department with a check for $700. The payment was for radio- isotope treatments for indigent cancer patients, the major un- dertaking of the national organ- ization. Plans also were made to endow a new radio-isotope suite at the hospital to store and process radio-isotope materials. The hospital has one of the largest collections of such ma- terials in the country, making it imperative that proper stor- age and safety in handling is assured.
