Leonard Bernstein, musical
director of the New York Phil-
harmonic Orchestra, will be
honored for his contributions to
cultural inter - change between
Israel and the United States at
a dinner concert of the Amer-
ica-Israel Cultural Foundtaion
to be held Feb. 2, at Hotel Wal-
dorf Astoria, New York.
A special musical program,
honoring Bernstein, will be
given at the dinner by the New
York Philharmonic Orchestra
under the leadership of Erich
Leinsdorf, of the Metropolitan
Opera Company, with Zino
Francescatti, violinist, Richard
Tucker, tenor, and David Bar-
Illan, young Israeli pianist, as
soloists. Subscriptions for the
dinner are $125 each and. are
for the benefit of the America-
Israel Cultural Foundation, of
which the Israel Philharmonic
Orchestra is one of 42 cultural
beneficiaries.
