Rabbi Herzog was Chief Rab-
bi of Ireland before assuming a
similar role in Israel in 1936.
He is one of the most renowned
Talmudic scholars in the world
today. He is a linguist with a
fluency in Hebrew, English,
German, French, classical Ara-
bic, Polish, Greek and Latin.
His volume, "Main Institutions
of Jewish Life," is regarded as
a literary and ideological mas-
terpiece in religious literature.

MAX STOLLMAN AND PHILLIP STOLLMAN have participated
in every worthwhile project in behalf of Israel.
PHILLIP STOLLMAN is now the NATIONAL CHAIRMAN OF
THE AMERICAN COMMITTEE for BAR-ILAN UNIVERSITY,
and formerly served as the CITY CHAIRMAN for BONDS FOR
ISRAEL. He is Co-chairman of the Foundation of the Jewish
National Fund.
Both Max and Phillip Stollman are Directors of Yeshiva Uni-
versity in New York. Phillip Stollman is also on the Board of
Sinai Hospital. He is President of Mizrachi Hapoel Hamizrachi.
MAX STOLLMAN is Treasurer of the BAR-ILAN UNIVERSITY.
Both brothers have contributed greatly to every segment of
Jewish Life in our Community.
Detroit, under the leadership of the Stollmans„ has played a
major role in the establishnient of this great University of Israel.
To give due recognition to them for their endeavors in behalf
of BAR-ILAN UNIVERSITY, the Detroit Friends of BAR-ILAN
have resolved to make this fitting tribute to these two dedicated
brothers at the Bar-Ilan First Commencement Celebration here
on January 21.
