out by the Federation of Labor's
publishing house, "Am Oved,"
of which Moshe Sharett, former
Prime Minister and ex-Foreign

chief. The Hebrew version was
translated from the original
Russian.

appeal a decision by the New
York State Commission Against
Discrimination which, in effect,
granted sanction to the policy
of the Arabian American Oil
Company of screening out
Jews for employment in Saudi
Arabia and New York.
In a statement. by Shad
Polier, chairman of the Con-
gress' Commission on Law and
Social Action, the organization
hit out at statements by the
State Department to SCAD that

be adversely affected if New
York • State's law barring bias
in employment were applied in
this case. He expressed the
belief that the Federal and
state governments "have the
obligation to see to it that the
bigoted practices of other na-
