Shulvas NEW YORK (JTA)—Estab- lishment of a $100,000 Judah L. Magnes Chair in Middle East Studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem was announced at a memorial meet- ing observing the tenth anni- versary of the death of Dr. Magnes, first chancellor and later president of the Hebrew University. This is the second $100,000 chair at the University an- nounced in a week. The first chair was an Eleanor Roosevelt Chair in Humanities to be en- dowed by the Women's Divi- sion of the American Friends of the University. Kvutzah Ivrith, Hebrew cul- ture group, in co-operation with the Jewish Community Center book fair committee, will spon- sor two addresses in Hebrew by Dr. Moses A. Shulvas, on Nov. 24.
