Dr. and Mrs. Harold Milinsky, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Gold-
stein, Mr. and Mrs. Abram Medow and Mr. and Mrs. Sidney
Samuels have returned to Detroit after spending a week in
Toronto, Ont., and Niagara Falls. Joining them were Mr. and
.Mrs. Seymour Spunt, former Detroiters, now of Cleveland, 0.
Mr. and Mrs. Julius Rottenberg recently celebrated their
golden wedding anniversary at a reception given in their honor
at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Milton Hoffman, of Sussex Ave., Oak Park. Mr. and Mrs. Rotten-
berg, married on Oct. 28, 1908, have four children and three
grandchildren.
A Bar Mitzvah party in honor of their son, Mark, was given
recently in the Mayfair Room by Mr. and Mrs. I. Stern, of
17576 Parkside. Also celebrated was the birthday of the Sterns'
daughter, Mrs. A. Adler, and the anniversary of Mrs. Stern's
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Rubin. Guests attended from New
York, New Jersey, California and Canada.
Mr. and 1VIrs. Sander Eisenberg (Diane Statfeld), who were
married here Nov. 2, are presently on a two-week honeymoon
trip to Florida. Upon their return, they will take up residence
at 14111 Greenbriar, Oak Park.
Mrs. Annie Handelsman, of 980 Whitmore, had as her house
guest last weekend her son, Jay, a former Detroiter now residing
in Miami Beach, Fla.
Mr. Daniel L. Tickton, of 2923 Monterey Ave., celebrated his
77th birthday on Sunday.

Feinberg Presents
2 Menorahs to
Boy Scout Council

Two menorahs were present.
ed to the Boy Scout Council,
for use at Council camps, by
Charles M. Feinberg, a mem-
ber of the Jewish Committee
on Scouting.
The menorahs were presented
in memory of attorney Fred
M. Butzel, for many years a
member of the Council's exec-
utive board, and Julian H. Kro-
lik, a Detroit businessman who
was active in many endeavors
on behalf of youth.
Present at the ceremonies
were Feinberg, retired State
Supreme Court Justice Henry
M. Butzel, brother of the late
Fred Butzel, William H. Frank,
committee chairman, and Henry
Krolik, son of the late Julian
Krolik.

Donor Kick-Off

The kick-off meeting for the
donor campaign of the Ladies
Auxiliary of the Jewish Na-
tional Fund will be held at
12:30 p.m., Tuesday, at Beth
Aaron Synagogue, announces
Mrs. Max Stollman, Auxiliary
president.
Mendel N. Fisher, recently
re-elected executive director of
JNF for the 20th consecutive
year, will be guest speaker, ac-

Shapiro has been announced.
The bride-elect is the daughter
of Mrs. Albert G. Sanders, a
former Detroiter now of Nor-
folk, Va., and the late Mr. San-
ders. Her fiance is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. David Shapiro, of
Buffalo, N.Y. No wedding date
has been set.

The engagement of Barbara
Therese Ross to Leslie Edward
Hubert has been announced by
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Abra-
ham N. Ross, of Mendota Ave.
The bride-elect attended the
University of Michigan, and is
now a senior in the college of
education at Wayne State Uni-
versity, where she is affiliated
with Pi Lambda Theta, national
honor society.

Mr. Hubert, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Milton D. Hubert, of Wash-
burn Ave., is a student at the
Detroit College of Law. A June
wedding is planned.

engagement of Faye Harriet
Weinstein, daughter of Mrs. Na-
than Weinstein and the late

Slates Foreign Meeting

Beth Aaron Sisterhood will
meet at 12:30 p.m., Monday, in
the synagogue, when Mrs.
George Fredson, ways and
means chairman, will outline
plans for the Sisterhood's an-
nual donor luncheon.
Mrs. Ben Z. Freeman, chair-
man of law and social action,
has invited foreign students
from Wayne State University to
address the gathering on human
rights, with emphasis on wo-
men's rights.
Stating views on the subject
will be students from India, Is-
rael, Finland, Japan and the
U.S.
Beth Aaron Sisterhood will
hold its first oneg shabbat of
the season at 2:30 p.m. Nov.
15 in the synagogue social hall,
announced Mrs. B. H. Gorrelick,
chairman and Mrs. A. Kaplan,
president. The program will
feature a Book Review of Harry
Golden's "Only In America" to
be given by Mrs. Lewis Cohen.
This feature presentation will
be supplemented by the partici-
pation of Rabbi Benjamin H.
Gorrelick and Cantor Ihil Gil-
din. Other participants in the
program will be Mesdames A.
Kaplan, Benjamin Gorrelick, G.
Fredson, J. Shapiro and J. Kan-
ners, presiding. The event is
