Needs of Israel Doctors
Outlined in Talk Here

Dr. Manuel M. Glazier, of
Newton, Mass., national secre-
tary of the American Physicians
Fellowship for the Israel Med-
ical Association, was here last
week as guest speaker at a din-
ner meeting of the Detroit APF
Committee, held in the new
David Whitney House.
Speaking of "The Practice of
Medicine in Israel," Dr. Glazier
pointed out that the Israeli
physician is in need of help
from his American collegue in
order to elevate the standards
of practice in that country.
He added that Israel's poorly-
paid physicians are even now
in the process of absorbing 400
refugee physicians from Hun-
gary and Egypt, helping them
to get started by taking them in
their homes and by loaning
them money from the meager
resources they have.
Dr. Bernard Weston, pres-
ident of the Detroit Chapter of
APF, announced that applica-
tions would soon be forwarded
to all Detroit physicians, urging
their membership.
