Prof. Ellis Riv- kin, of Hebrew Union College, will speak at 8:15 p.m., Nov. 9, Donald Slaiman of Detroit's Jewish Labor Committee will speak following Sabbath serv- ices on Nov. 14 and actor- monologist Jon Silo will appear at a program of music and drama on Nov. 22. Talks by Avrunin, Marcus, Mrs. Karbel The Women's Division of the Jewish Welfare Federation will hold the fourth and last session of its Leadership Training Course at 9:50 a.m., Monday, at the Ten Mile Branch of the Jewish Community Center. William Avrunin, associate director of Federation, Sam Marcus, director of Fresh Air Society and Mrs. Sidney J. Kar- bel, president of the Federation Women's Division, will high- light the program, announced Mrs. Lewis S. Grossman, insti- tute chairman. Avrunin will speak on the "Future of Federation" — how Federation will provide for our growing Jewish community. Marcus will show slides taken at Camp Tamarack and cover- ing the many different age groups, from pre-school to gold- en age, using the camp facili- ties. Mrs. Karbel will describe the work of the Federation 12,000 member Women's Division. Luncheon will be served and a tour of the Ten Mile Center will follow.
