A series of educational
courses, under sponsorship of
Young Israel of Detroit, will
begin at 8 p.m., Monday, at the
Dexter building, according to
Rabbi Samuel H. Prero, spirit-
ual leader.
Classes will be t aught by
Rabbi Abraham Zentman, in
mishniyot; Rabbi Prero, the
Book of Isaiah at 8 p.m., and a
session in Talmud, translated
into English at 9 p.m.
Registration is also being ac-
cepted for classes in Jewish

history and philosophy, to be
taught by Dr. Max Kapustin,
and interpretation of the pray-
er book, under the direction of
Rabbi Eugene Greenfield.
A lecture in advanced Tal-
mud will be given at 8 p.m.,
Wednesdays, by Rabbi Leib
Bakst, while on Saturday, at
4 p.m., Rabbi Israel Rockove
and Rabbi Bakst will instruct
in Talmud.
If sufficient interest is shown,
courses will be added in the
Hebrew of the prayer book or
conversational Hebrew, at either
the elementary or advanced
levels.

Forty new members of Beth
Aaron Synagogue will be offi-
cially inducted at special cere-
monies to be held at the Beth
Aaron's first late Friday eve-
ning service of the season at
8:30 p.m., today.
The service will be conducted
by Rabbi Benjamin H. Gorre-
lick who will preach on "Pur-
