Israel Bond efforts.
Half of all the Bond sales
were achieved in Adas Sholom
Synagogue which recorded
pledges and cash commitments
of over $150,000. The remark-

MRS. JACK GORELICK

Julian Venezky. of Peoria,
to Speak at Tom Borman Home

"The inescapable logic
of events will in due time
make Palestine a Jewish
State. The rebirth of
Israel as a nation in its
historic home is as sure
to come to pass as God's
word never returns
empty until it has accom-
plished that for which it
was sent." May, 1943.

The Jews of
America, proud and loyal
citizens of this great
country, will materially
help Israel to absorb as
many Jews as will wish
to go there or may have
to go there. They will
help to build up its cul-
tural, scientific and spir-
itual institutions, as well
as its economic life so
that it may become a land
of which Jews every-
where can be proud. For
the eyes of the world will
be on the land of Israel
to see what Jews, as peo-
ple, can accomplish on
their own." November,
1948.
