gether with the board of the
Mizrachi-Hapoel .Hamizrachi at
8 p.m., Wednesday, at Young
Israel of Detroit.
Rabbi Max J. Wohlgelernter,
a leading local figure before
leaving for Israel to assume
duties as general secretary to
the Israel Chief Rabbinate, will
be guest of honor and principal
speaker.
Greetings also will be ex-
tended to Rabbi and Mrs. Jos-
hua S. Sperka, who this week
are returning from an extend-
ed trip to Europe and Israel.
Rabbi Sperka was re-elected
recently as vice-president and
chairman of membership of the
local Mizrachi-Hapoel Hamiz-
rachi group.
Future plans of the organi-
zation will be decided, and a
social hour will conclude the
evening.
On Oct. 29, at Young Israel
Center of Oak-Woods, the re-
ligious Zionists, in cooperation
with the Torah education and
culture department of the Jew-
ish Agency, will present Rabbi
Solomon • J. Sharfman, former
president of the Rabbinical
Council of America and now
honorary president, in a talk on
"Israel and Education."
