Among the 50 volunteers from the Israel Bond Women's
Division who worked at the High Holiday cash collection break-
fast taking prospect cards which totalled $300,000 are, left

Rabbi Leizer Levin, and Congs. Bnai Jacob, Adas Yeshurun
and Beth Moses.
Large Local Delegation to Attend
National Convention of Hadassah
Mrs. Carl Schiller will head
a large local delegation from
the Detroit Chapter of Hadas-
sah to the 44th national con-
vention of the organization at
the Fontainebleau Hotel, Miami
Beach, Fla., from Oct. 19 to 22.
Over 2,500 delegates repre-
senting 315,000 members in
1,288 chapters throughout the
United States and Puerto Rico
will attend. The theme of the
parley is With Faith in the
Future," advise Mesdames Max
Schenk and D. Leonard Cohen,
national chairman and co-chair-
man, respectively.
An important position on the
convention's agenda, according
to Mrs. Schiller, will be given
to a discussion of U.S. foreign
policy and international affairs
with special emphasis on new
developments in the Middle
East.
Principal speakers will be Dr.
Joseph Kaplan, chairman of the
U.S. Committee for the Inter-
national Geophysical Year, who
will speak on "A Scientist's
