cator and communal- leader,
will address a breakfast meet-
ing of representatives of Lands-
manschaften, Sunday, at 10
a.m., Oct. 5, at Jericho Temple,
18495 Wyoming.
The new president of Jewish
National Fund of Detroit, Prof.
Samuel M. Levin, will greet the
gathering.

of JNF will be submitted, and
the extent of the Detroit so

Landsmanshaften societies in
Detroit have for many years
played an important part in the
land redemption and land re-
clamation work of Jewish Na-
tional Fund. Especially signi-
ficant was their role in the tree
planting program. Four years
ago the Detroit societies under-
took the planting of a Detroit
Landsmanshaften Forest of 30,-
000 trees, of which a substantial
part has already been planted.
Several of the socities have com-
pleted full groves of 1,000 trees
each, and some of these are now
working on their second 1,000
tree groves.
