JERUSALEM (JTA)—Israel
will soon open a Consulate in
Portugal. It will be Israel's first
diplomatic mission on the Iber-
ian Peninsula. Israel h a s no
diplomatic relations with Spain.
Recently, however, a high offi-
cial of the economic department
of Israel's Foreign Ministry
visited Madrid in an effort to
establish economic relations
with Spain.
