The Serenaaers, Teen Life re-
cording artists, will head the
program for "July Jump," a
teenage dance planned for 8
p.m., Monday,. at the Ten Mile
Jewish Center.
The event is sponsored by
the canteen cominittee of the
Ten Mile branch. In addition
to the Serenaders, the Spend-
ers, Nick Forest, music by the
Keynotes and other entertain-
ers are scheduled.
The dance committee is head-
ed by Mel Chernow and Mike
Kushiner. Jerry Bernstein has
been lining up the talent, while
Cecile Schwartz, Sharon Samoss,
Sue Tannenhaus, Joanne Her-
man and Donna Herman are
among the active workers for
the affair.

In a ceremony June 18, at
Adas Shalom Synagogue, Har-
riet Arlene Band, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Herman Band, of
18330 Birchcrest, became the
bride of Norman Jay Rotter,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Rotter,
of Miami Beach, Fla. Rabbi
Jacob E. Segal officiated.
The bride's gown was of
ivory peau de soie, and was
fashioned with a moyen-age
neckline, an empire bodice of
dutchess lace and a princess-
line dome-shaped skirt with
garlands of matching lace appli-
qued on the cathedral train.
She carried an arrangement of
white orchids and stephanotis.
Judith Band was her sister's
maid of honor, and bridesmaids
were Cecily Goldman, Janice
Kuschinski and Share Robinson.
David Stone was his cousin's
best man, and ushers included
Donald Cutler, Herbert Green,
Henry Moses, Leonard Shlain
and Gary Toback. Junior attend-
ants were Bunny Band and
Jeffrey Band, sister and brother
of the bride.
Following a honeymoon trip
to New York City, the couple
has taken up residence on
Schaefer Rd.

Lodge No. 6 for its monthly
publication, the Oak-Woods Gaz-
ette, it was learned here this
week. The District is comprised
of 240 lodges in eight states

'Woman of the Year
Named recently by the City
of Hope Cancer Fighters as
their "Woman of the Year" was
Mrs. Morris Moss, who was pre-
sented with a silver disc "in
recognition of
her outstand-
ing service to
the organiza-
tion" by Mrs.
Andrew Ber-
ger, president.
M r s. Moss,
who has held
a variety of
offices and
chairmanships
for the Cancer Mrs. Moss
Fighters, served as treasurer
for two years and this past
season was vice-president of
membership.
According to the citation she
'received, however, the award
was based not alone on fulfill-
ing the responsibilities of office,
but for being "on hand and
ready to assist wherever and
whenever help was needed."
Bereznitzer Aid Names
Anniversary Chairmen
Samuel Brown was this week
named chairman of the 25th
anniversary banquet of the
Bereznitzer Aid Society, it was
announced this week.
A long-time member ,of the
society and an active worker
in other communal endeavors,
Brown will serve along with
Isadore Sweet and Mrs. Sol
Kanat, who were appointed
treasurer and secretary, respec-
tively.
A special kick-off meeting to
plan the silver anniversary fes-
tivities will be held Wednesday
