Yacht Club Offers Sailboating Classes An on-the-water sailboat han- dling course for persons 12 years old and over begins to- day at the Great Lakes Yacht Club, Jefferson and Nine Mile in St. Clair Shores. The series of five classes is co-sponsored by the GLYC and the Jewish Community Center 10 Mile branch. Boats are available for use of class members and transpor- tation to the club has been ar- ranged from the 10 Mile center and from the Esther Berman Building. Michael Mark Tarnow, 14- year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack M. Tarnow, of 14031 Oak Park Blvd., Oak Park, has the distinction of being the only Michigan Boy Scout to be chosen to attend the world Boy Scout Jamboree in Israel next week. Michael will be one of 24 American Boy Scouts at the Jamboree, which will be followed by extensive tours of Israel and participa- tion in the world confer- Michael ence of Jewish youth.
