in an article by her best
friend, Lies Goslar Pick, in the
current issue of McCall's maga-

Mrs. Pick, who currently
lives in Israel, grew up with
Anne Frank in Amsterdam
and was with her in Belsen-

the Philip Murray Cultural Center at Eilat.

brew, told the national confer-
ence of the German Social
Democratic Party here that the

Asia and Africa needed econom-
ic assistance. But the Israeli,
Knesset member Dr. Herzl
Berger, representing the Mapai
Party, warned that care should
be taken in extending this aid
not to support dictatorships
rather than democratic coun-
tries.
Representatives of the Social-
ist movement in 30 countries
were present at the conference.
Erich 011enhauer, leader of the
party, in his general policy-
making speech, spoke warmly of
Israel and of its great "Social-
ist" achievements. He ex-
pressed the hope that Israel
would be able to continue its
development in liberty and
peace.
