ST. LOUIS—The American Jewish Congress and the St.
Louis Rabbinical Association asked the Missouri Supreme Court
for permission to file a brief as friends of the court in support
of Temple Israel to build a chapel and Sunday school in subur-
ban Creve Coeur where a building permit was denied the Jew-
ish group. Protestant and Catholic groups are supporting the
Temple in its petitions.
LOS ANGELES—An Anne Frank Memorial Foundation was
formed by a group of Hollywood personalities to memoralize the
young Jewish girl who died in a concentration camp a victim
of Nazism. The Foundation plans to build a Fine Arts Library
at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem in Anne Frank's name.
