Dr. and Mrs. 'Morris Fried-
lander announce the engage-
ment of their daughter, Cecile
Esther, to Stuart David Orman,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Or-
man, of Indiana Ave.
The bride-to-be is a senior at
the University of Michigan,
where she will graduate this
June, and is affiliated with Delta
Phi Epsilon sorority. Mr. Or-
man holds an AB degree and a
law degree from the university.
He is a member of Sigma Alpha
Mu and Tau Epsilon Rho legal
fraternity.
A fall wedding is being
planned.

An institute for program plan-
ners of Council-affiliated organi-
zations will be held Wednesday,
8 p.m., at the Sholem Aleichem
Institute, 19350 Greenfield, an-
nounces Hubert Sidlow, Council
institute chairman.
Responding to many requests
submitted to the Jewish Com-
munity Council for assistance
in the development of programs
in the 340 organizations that
form the council family, the
institute will feature specialists
in various fields relating to the
preparation of good organiza-
tional programs.
Leonard N. Simons, Frank
Simons, Mrs. Samuel Linden,
Mrs. Irving Posner and Jo-
seph Edelman will be among
the participants in the In-
stitute.
Hubert Sidlow, chairman of
the Institute, announces that
because of the many telephone
calls and letters, arrangements
have been made to accommo-
date the general community,
who are invited to take advan-
tage of the unusual opportunity
to learn about the new ways and
means of stimplating interest in
their organizational programs.
Admission is free.
Refreshments will be served.
